Where does the event take place?
The event will be hosted by CODE University of Applied Sciences on the university’s campus. The address is Lohmühlenstraße 65, 12435 Berlin.
When will the event start?
If you want to participate in the Start-up tour, you should attend at 10 AM on Friday.

Regular Check-In starts on Friday the 16th of September at 2:00 pm.
How do I get to the event location?
You can reach the event location with public transportation. There are several stations around the area:

- Bus station “Lohmühlenstraße”, 250 metres to //Slash
- Bus station “Heckmannufer”, 400 metres - Bus station “Glogauer Straße”, 750 metres
- S-Bahn station “Treptower Park”, 1.200 metres
- U-Bahn station “Schlesisches Tor”, 1.100 metres

A limited number of parking spots is available in front of the building.
Do you provide topics that participants can work on?
We will have three Focus Topics provided by our partners which will be pitched on Saturday during the BarCamp. These will be the major topics for the event, where the first three winner teams of each topic will get a prize.
Can I work on my own ideas (open topic)?
If you already have an own topic in mind that fits our theme “sustainability”, you will have the possibility to digitally submit a one minute pitch video via our event software around which teams can be formed. It will be made available to all participants during the BarCamp.
Will you provide food?
Yes, food will be provided for all participants and partners. We’ll have breakfast, lunch and dinner. We will also provide snacks for the small hunger in between.
Will you offer accomodation / sleeping areas?
Our campus is fully at capacity for 400 people, there won’t be much space for us to host sleeping rooms. We’re working on securing deals with local hostels and hotels to save you some money.
Who are the judges for the Hackathon?
The judges will be representatives from our partners. The finale will be judged by all of you via our event software.

Corona

What are the requirements to participate in the event?

Where can I get tested?
Do I need to wear a mask?
No. Feel free to wear a mask if this makes you more comfortable.
What are the requirements to participate in the event?
At the current time there are no Corona related restrictions for events.
Are there any other corona related rules I need to follow?
No. Although, we please you wash and sanitise your hands regularly. If you are not feeling well or have any symptoms related to covid, we also please you to not take part in the event. Should these symptoms start during the event please inform the organiser team immediately and consider leaving the event. Apart from this, sanitiser will be provided and there will be no open buffet, but individual portions of food will be handed out. If you want to know more, please contact hey@slash.berlin!
Will you offer an online track?
No, the event will be completely in-person. But, some parts of the event like the opening speech and the closing ceremony will be streamed on YouTube.
